This 1932 Lionel 259 came in for service. As you can see it needs help to move.
After we completely took this engine apart, we knew what needed to be done to get it running again. A full engine re-wiring, clean the armature, New brushes, and full clean and lube/grease the entire motor and wheels.
We received this customer's 1953/54 Lionel 736 and tender. As seen here this engine and tender is DOA. Broken boiler jewel on one side.
After a full overhaul to the engine and tender with a new(repo) boiler front , this engine will run again for another 75 years.
